It is with great sorrow...

It is with great sorrow that we must share the news that our beloved Dr. Gregory Diggs died unexpectedly on February 24th. We are filled with grief over our community’s loss and overwhelmed with gratitude for his leadership, dedication, and friendship. Greg was a parent first, an educator, a proud Alpha Phi Alpha brother, and an activist. He was a beloved neighbor, was one of the first residents of St*pleton, and served on the original SUN board.

Late last year, Greg wrote these words when reflecting on Rename St*pleton for All’s connection to broader struggles for equality and racial justice in Denver: “Some things we lead. Some things we support. Some things we follow. What a nice example to set and legacy to leave.” What a legacy indeed. Greg was, in life and remains so in death, an inspiration. It is up to us to carry on his work and push forward.
